We cant believe we were able to pull this trip off. We were both big Rolling Stones fans, and said when they go on tour again we would have to get tickets. Well, they announced their tour and it was all in Europe, with the first location being at Croke Park in Dublin. Seeing as how Moo is Irish, but has never been, we knew we had to make it to this show. Somehow we even convinced 2 of our friends to join us for this quick trip.

We wanted to take as little PTO/vacation days from work as possible, so we decided we would fly LAX to Dublin direct on Wednesday after we get off work, putting us in Dublin early afternoon Thursday. Round trip cost $550/ea. We lucked out and book a 4 person family room (1 queen bed in between 2 full beds) that was less than a mile from Croke Park. We checked in, changed clothes and left to get food and go to the show. The stones started playing about 30 minutes before sunset, warming up the crowd. By sundown, it was a full fledged rock concert. They played for 2 hours straight, and really blew us away! Bucket list item checked!

The next morning we rented a tiny car and piled in to quickly drive around southern Ireland. In 2 days we went to Galway, stayed at a cute air bnb in Cork, saw the Cliffs of Moher, did a quick hike in a national park, saw come castles, and went to The Shire bar. We drove back to Dublin early Sunday and took a lunchtime flight, which got us back into Los Angeles Sunday afternoon so we could still go into work on Monday. By doing this Moo only had to take Thurs/Fri off and I only had to take Thur off (I already had that Friday off).
